“The investment industry is critical for society to function: it helps mobilise capital, transfer risk, and make savings productive. As an industry, we already attract some of the best talent. As the competition for talent grows, the question is — are we attracting the right mix of talent for the industry to do its best for society? I have long believed that the multiple factors required for success in the investment industry make this an ideal career for young women. Women just have to learn about the variety of opportunities within the industry and find their niche. I hope this CFA Institute initiative will promote awareness of and provide the right training and networks to grow within the industry.”
CEO, Hirtle, Callaghan & Co.
